Dr. Müzeyyen Seda Altop, Lecturer at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, participated in a health organization held in Madagascar, following her involvement in the African country of Burundi. Within the scope of the event held between September 7-20, in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Hands Giving Lives Association, doctors were trained in the field of ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery. Additionally, 170 patients received services under the supervision of Dr. Altop.

Training Provided to ENT and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Madagascar…
Within the scope of the health organization, doctors were trained in ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery at Chu Andohatapenaka University in the capital Antananarivo, in cooperation with TİKA and the Hands Giving Lives Association.

In the project hosted by the Turkish Embassy in Burundi, training was conducted through case studies, facilitating experience and knowledge sharing.
Within the scope of the work, which also involved Dr. Müzeyyen Seda Altop, Lecturer at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 170 patients received services in the field of maxillofacial surgery under the supervision of Dr. M. Seda Altop.
Leading media organizations in the country also showed interest in the activities.
Previously, the “Burundi Oral and Dental Health” project had been organized with the support of the Friends of All Africa Association (TADD) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA). The project, hosted by Burundi’s First Lady Angelina Ndaishimiye and the Burundi Embassy, had attracted significant attention from national radio, television channels, and newspapers.
