The first phase of the ÜNİDES project titled “Together for Palestine: Solidarity Through Culture, Share with Friendship,” carried out by the ISSTeam and TFTeam, which are teams from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department’s International Student Relations Office, in cooperation with the Intercultural Club, has been implemented. The event aimed to draw attention to Palestinian culture and the ongoing humanitarian crisis, strengthen cultural solidarity, and raise awareness among students.

The first stage of the project was held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health campus event area with intense participation from international students. 

The event began with an opening speech about Palestine delivered by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Gülcan Ayral, Manager of Üsküdar Üniversitesi International Student Relations Office.

 

Intercultural communication supported through mentor meetings

Later, as part of the project, participants were served künefe from Palestinian cuisine, while interaction, sharing, and intercultural communication among students were supported through mentor meetings.

Meeting held with Ministry of Youth and Sports - ÜNİDES officials

During the event, mutual evaluations regarding the scope and progress of the project were held between officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports - ÜNİDES, Dr. Gülcan Ayral, Manager of Üsküdar Üniversitesi International Student Relations Office, office assistants Sinem Bayram and Tasnim Saka Laik, and project coordinator Üsküdar Üniversitesi student Ahmad Mozaik. 

During the meeting, it was stated that the project's implementation process served as an exemplary practice, and the ministry officials expressed their satisfaction with the teamwork, coordination, and project management.

The event, which attracted a wide audience, concluded as a meaningful gathering that strengthened bonds of solidarity and friendship through culture.
