The 7th Period Graduation Ceremony of the 2019-2020 Academic Year, which could not be held due to the pandemic, is being organized together with the 8th Period Graduation Ceremony of the 2020-2021 Academic Year. Colorful moments are being experienced during the in-person ceremony held with pandemic precautions. Students of the Faculty of Communication also experienced the excitement of graduation at the ceremony held today. Üsküdar Üniversitesi New Media and Journalism Department's 2019-2020 graduates Şahan Şengül and Rüveyda Gönülalçak created colorful moments at the graduation ceremony.
As Şahan Şengül stepped onto the stage to receive his diploma, he carried a banner that brought smiles to faces. The banner featured an expression belonging to a trend that has recently been on the agenda on social media platforms. The banner read, “Do you think I got a job at the university I graduated from and organized my own graduation ceremony?” while Rüveyda Gönülalçak continued to manage Üsküdar Üniversitesi's corporate social media accounts both before stepping onto the stage to receive her diploma and after receiving it.
Şengül and Gönülalçak started working part-time at the Corporate Communications Directorate during their student years, and after their outstanding efforts and performance were appreciated, they stepped into professional life within Üsküdar Üniversitesi as Event Assistant and Social Media Specialist at the Corporate Communications Directorate after graduation. Continuing their journey with the Üsküdar Üniversitesi family as administrative staff, Şengül and Gönülalçak's active participation in their own graduation ceremony and stepping onto the stage to receive their diplomas brought smiles to faces. The Corporate Communications Directorate also shared in the graduation enthusiasm of their teammates. Gönülalçak and Şengül were not left alone by their families and loved ones at the graduation ceremony.
