A visit to Ümraniye Fire Department was organized by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Emergency and Disaster Management Program. During the visit, led by Dr. Ayşe Yıldırım, Head of the Emergency and Disaster Management Program, students had the opportunity to ask firefighters all the questions they had about the firefighting profession.

Emergency and Disaster Management students, who met with fire department personnel in Ümraniye, had the opportunity to learn about firefighters' working conditions, challenges faced, professional experiences, and internship information.

Hose Deployment and Collection Application Performed
As part of the event, students were shown a hose deployment and collection application. Following the practical hose deployment and collection exercise, students were also given information on the use of foam attached to fire extinguishing hoses.

Features of Nomex Clothing Explained
Emergency and Disaster Management students were informed about the features of 'Nomex' clothing worn by firefighters by Firefighter Serhat Zengin, and students were introduced to the vehicles, alarm systems, and equipment at the fire department, along with the 'Nomex' clothing.
Dr. Ayşe Yıldırım, who organized the technical visit, stated that they were fortunate to receive practical training with her students.
