The opening speeches of the competition were delivered by Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Gülyurt, a faculty member at Biruni University. Gülyurt stated; “Our topic today is one that particularly concerns young people. It is stated in our religion that; ‘The best among you is the one most beneficial to humanity.’ It is our duty to help even one person. As long as we are healthy, we must continue these services. People can retire, but retirement from service and work should continue until our last breath. The sun of truth rises from the clash of ideas. The debate topics consist of important issues that concern our current times. Our youth will be more advanced than us, so that we, as a nation and a country, can complete our development. While doing this, it should be in the form of national and spiritual upbringing, not just material developments.”

Topics such as artificial intelligence, technology, and digitalization were discussed

Following the opening speech, quarter-final competitions were held. In the organized debate competition, university students defended different views on many topics.

Mustafa Karaman: “We see the contribution of different ideas”

Mustafa Karaman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Suffa Foundation, delivered the closing speech of the program. Karaman said; “Dear young people, stay away from imitation. Respect is one thing, regard for knowledge is another, value given to a person is another, and imitation is completely different. Imitation is opposition to God's will, to nature, and to the system He has created in the universe. God does not create anything identically; He creates everything distinctly. To make things identical, to imitate, is the work of the helpless. Here, God has granted us some breakthroughs. To this day, there is diversity within the material and spiritual tendencies that God has intended in the world. It exists in material technology. And it exists in spiritual systems. Today, we are discussing topics such as artificial intelligence. Behind all of this is the contribution and influence of different people's ideas. We see the contribution of different ideas,” he stated.

The organized debate competition concluded after a group photo session.
