Üsküdar University organized a meaningful commemoration program on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Within the scope of the events held between July 11–17, university members came together in various programs to commemorate the epic struggle against the coup attempt and to honor the martyrs.
The commemoration program began with an exhibition
The commemoration program began with the opening of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Events Exhibition in the lobby area of Üsküdar University Main Campus.
The exhibition, featuring photographs and information panels reflecting the spirit of the night of July 15, drew great interest from students and staff.
The university's senior administration, as well as its academic and administrative staff, also visited the exhibition to refresh their memories of that night.
Martyrs’ monument and museum were visited
The next stop of the events was the July 15 Martyrs’ Monument and Museum.
A delegation of Üsküdar University academics, students, and administrative staff visited the monument to remember the coup attempt that took place in 2016 and to honor the memories of the martyrs.
During the visit, prayers were offered for the martyrs.
Following the visit to the Martyrs’ Monument, the delegation also toured the museum area prepared specially for July 15, examining the visual and written materials related to the events.
Prof. Nevzat Tarhan participated in the panel “The Name of Victory: Türkiye, My Great Family, My Türkiye”
As part of the program, President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan participated in the panel and exhibition titled “The Name of Victory: Türkiye, My Great Family, My Türkiye: July 15 Panel and Exhibition”, organized by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
