With the announcement of the exam results, excitement reached its peak. It's not easy; they will make perhaps the most important decisions of their lives. Their choices will determine their future lives. That's why young university candidates are very excited. There are many questions in their minds. The answers are not easy at all. The exam stage was difficult, of course, but the decision-making stage is much harder, especially for the indecisive ones.

At this stage, making the right choice is crucial. I would like to share a few key points for making the right choice with university candidates.
- The starting point for the right choice is to know ourselves or to reacquaint ourselves with ourselves. For this, let's review our entire lives, starting from our childhood. Let's recall the moments when we felt happy or unhappy. Let's re-analyze what situations and things we enjoyed. Let's think in detail once again about what we want to do, what we can do, what we cannot do, our aspirations, dreams, and ideals. Let's re-examine our tendencies and talents. Let's try to analyze our mental, psychological, emotional, biological, and physiological characteristics in detail and set our goals accordingly. Our feelings are important here, of course, but let's also analyze our talents, potential capacities, and orientations under the guidance of reason so that we can determine our goals more realistically.
Go where your heart leads, guided by your mind
Let's not forget, this life is ours. Our family members, friends, teachers, and other social circles around us will naturally set goals for us and be eager to chart a course for us in choosing a university, department, and profession. Let's not ignore them; let's listen to them, value their opinions and suggestions, and benefit from their experiences. But let's also not forget that this life is ours, and the decision we make will primarily affect us. Therefore, let's first listen to our inner voice, set out to go where our heart leads us, but always make this journey under the guidance of our mind. Our emotions are important, but only with the direction of our mind can we make sound decisions and the right choices.

Every profession is important and equally respectable. Therefore, all fields and departments in education are equally important and respectable. No profession is inferior to another. For this reason, instead of classifying professions and departments according to their importance and respectability, it would be more appropriate to classify them in line with the needs of the world and the country we live in, and their job and employment potential. To do this, our country's employment sources, job opportunities, growth targets, sectors on a path of progress, and future needs must first be analyzed very well, and profession and department choices should be made accordingly. But here, of course, let's never ignore our own talents, orientations, and potential capacities.
