The biggest ailment of our era's designers: CTRL+Z
Hakan Dağ, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Communication Designers Professional Organization, who was a guest on the online program, spoke about how control mechanisms have shifted from designers to others. Dağ stated: “If what we ultimately do is communicate, then we must know all the outputs and inputs of communication. The biggest ailment of our era's designers, ‘CTRL+Z’, has led to the ease of repeatedly reproducing this output concept, because control mechanisms have now passed from designers to others.”
“With the pandemic, digitalization entered our lives more”
Hakan Dağ, stating that the digitalization process has entered our lives more with the pandemic, said: “I had actually been working for a long time on the changes in design trends over the years, but with the pandemic, we saw that the digitalization process entered our lives more. Even though there are long kilometers between us right now, we can share things with you as if we were in a classroom environment. In fact, perhaps one of the biggest gains of the pandemic was Zoom.”
