With the support of the Istanbul Governorship, the Üsküdar Üniversitesi and NPİSTANBUL Beyin Hastanesi collaboration, the "Families at University Project" will begin implementation in four districts of Istanbul. The "Families at University Project" Coordination Meeting was held with the participation of the district governorships of Üsküdar, Pendik, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Eyüpsultan. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, stated that they are responsible towards future generations and therefore launched the project. Families, couples, and youth to be determined by the district governorships will start receiving training from November 13.

The "Families at University Project" Coordination Meeting took place online within the framework of measures to combat the pandemic.
In the program attended by Gaziosmanpaşa District Governor Numan Hatipoğlu, Eyüpsultan District Governor İhsan Kara, and Pendik District Governor Dr. Hülya Kaya, Üsküdar District Governorship Projects Unit Coordinator Hüseyin Karaman was present instead of Üsküdar District Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek.
In the meeting, which was also attended by Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hasan Tahsin Usta, the opening speech was delivered by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. Tarhan stated that the teams involved in the project had undergone a rigorous period of work and preparation following the protocol signing ceremony they held with the Istanbul Governorship.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “We Aim to Implement the Project in the Best Possible Way”
Stating that they plan to implement the "Families at University Project" in the best possible way, which will be realized with the cooperation of the district governors of Üsküdar, Pendik, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Eyüpsultan within the scope of the Istanbul Governorship scientific cooperation protocol, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan said, “We want to work like an orchestra in this project. It is important for everyone to use their instrument in the best possible way. A webpage has been prepared for participants to attend the training. There is a separate link for registration here. They will register this way. The project will start with a pre-test.”
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “We Will Fulfill Our Duty to Future Generations“
Noting that an important duty towards future generations will be fulfilled with the "Families at University Project", Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized the importance of the project not remaining just a word, but being put into practice. Tarhan said, “Our experts and faculty members from Üsküdar Üniversitesi and NPİSTANBUL Beyin Hastanesi put a lot of effort into this social responsibility project. Our only concern here is this: that future generations do not reproach us by saying 'Why did our fathers and grandfathers not guide us on this matter, why did you not warn us, why were you not good examples to us?' Our motivation is entirely this, God is my witness. That's why we aim to do good things here. The first part was more successful than we expected. It matured us. We are acting with the principle of agile project management. We will be able to make revisions to the project and its operations based on future feedback, but for this, everyone's ownership is important. Volunteerism and dedication are essential for projects to progress. The more these can be done, the more this project will achieve its goal.”
