Tarhan explained the impact of artificial intelligence on psychiatry at the IPEK9 congress

President of Üsküdar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, attended the Interactive Psychiatry Education Congress (IPEK9) organized by the Psychiatry Academy. Delivering a presentation titled “How Will Artificial Intelligence Affect Our Treatments?” at the congress, Tarhan evaluated the potential effects of artificial intelligence on psychiatric diagnosis and treatment processes. Current treatment approaches and scientific developments in psychiatry were comprehensively discussed at the congress, which featured numerous experts in the field. 

The congress, held at the Concorde Luxury Resort Hotel in Cyprus between April 9-12, 2026, brought together numerous academics and clinicians specialized in the field of psychiatry.

How will artificial intelligence affect our treatments? 

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan delivered a presentation titled “How Will Artificial Intelligence Affect Our Treatments?” in the panel “Interesting Topics in Psychiatry,” organized within the scope of the congress. 

In his speech, Tarhan addressed the potential effects of artificial intelligence applications on psychiatric diagnosis and treatment processes.

Developments comprehensively evaluated

The scientific program of the congress covered many current topics, from addiction to depression, schizophrenia to adolescent mental health. 

In panels held with the participation of experts in the field, new treatment approaches in psychiatry, psychopharmacological developments, and clinical applications were comprehensively evaluated.

In various sessions, topics such as the role of artificial intelligence in depression diagnosis, neuroplasticity, psychodermatology, a psychiatric perspective on obesity, and interpersonal relationship psychotherapy were also brought to the agenda.

The IPEK9 Congress provided an important platform for sharing current scientific developments and strengthening academic collaborations.
