A 'Syria Coffee Break' event was organized by the ISSTeam and TFTeam, teams of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department's International Student Relations Office, in cooperation with the Intercultural Club. At the traditionally held Coffee Break gatherings, organized weekly to introduce the culture of a different country and enhance students' social integration, Syrian students joyfully celebrated the first anniversary of their independence.

At the event held with high participation in the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health Campus Event area, Syria's independence was celebrated within a cultural framework and in an enthusiastic atmosphere.

During the event, local coffee and beverages specific to Syrian culture, along with traditional dishes and dessert treats, were offered; the program was enriched with visual backgrounds, traditional attire, and cultural presentations.
Students added color to the event with traditional melodies and folk dances of Syrian culture.

Poems Added Emotional Depth to the Event
Later, Mohammad Kalaa Dzhi, father of Intercultural Club President Khamza Kalaa Dzhi, added emotional depth to the event with the poems he read as a poet and writer. Dzhi graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1972, is a pharmacist, and has five books contributed to literature.


Emphasis Placed on Unity and Solidarity Regarding Syria's Independence
At the event, Sadık Paksoy, Head of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department, delivered a speech emphasizing unity and solidarity regarding Syria's independence.
Also, Dr. Gülcan Ayral, Manager of the International Student Relations Office, along with the architects of the event – Tasnim Saka Laik, Responsible for the Target Friendship Project, Sinem Bayram, Responsible for Events-Research and Projects, students on the Intercultural Club Executive Board, and the ISS and TF teams – stood by the Syrian students at all stages, including the preparation process of the event.
The Syria Coffee Break, held in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and celebration, was successfully completed as a meaningful event that strengthened cultural sharing, supported interaction among students, and contributed to the university's multicultural campus structure.
