İzzettin Selimoğlu, a graduate of the History Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, achieved significant success within the scholarship program provided by the Russian government for international students. Selimoğlu, who successfully completed the necessary interview and examination processes, qualified to pursue fully funded doctoral studies at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow. 

Selimoğlu, who began his academic journey at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, completed his master's degree in Political Science and International Relations at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Institute of Social Sciences after his history education. 

Takes an active role in research areas

During his education, he undertook active roles not only academically but also in administrative and research areas. 

Selimoğlu, who interned at Üsküdar Municipality Directorate of Strategy Development, served as the Head of the Middle East Desk at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Strategic Research Center and continues to work as a researcher at the Russia and Eastern Europe Desk.

Selimoğlu also crowns his academic work with a TÜBİTAK-supported project. 

İzzettin Selimoğlu will now continue his doctoral studies at RUDN University, one of Russia’s well-established universities, bringing his accumulated knowledge to an international platform. Furthermore, Selimoğlu will continue his education abroad, offering qualified contributions to the fields of Türkiye-Russia relations and regional studies.
