Upon the invitation of IntechOpen Publishing House, many faculty members, especially Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, contributed to the 11-chapter book titled “Stress Related Disorders” with a chapter titled “New Diagnosis and Treatment Approaches to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder”. The work was downloaded by nearly 1000 people within 2 months.
IntechOpen Publishing House, which is listed in Web of Science's Book Citation Index database and draws attention with its publications especially in the fields of Engineering and Health Sciences, focuses on new diagnosis and treatment methods for post-traumatic stress disorder in “Stress Related Disorders”.
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, the lead author of the book chapter, contributed with an ontological perspective; Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut Karahan and Lecturer Öznur Özge Özcan contributed with a neurobiological perspective; Prof. Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sibel Ayvaz with a clinical and neuro-imaging perspective; Prof. Dr. Nurper Ülküer and Assist. Prof. Dr. Hazal Ayas with a neurodevelopmental perspective; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feride Zeynep Güder with a sociological perspective.
Nearly 1000 people downloaded it in a very short time
The work, which is considered to make a significant contribution to the literature, reached nearly 1000 downloads by IntechOpen publishing house readers within approximately 2 months. Following the success of the first work in filling a major gap in the field and being followed by readers, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan contributed as lead author to the second book, “Schizophrenia - Recent Advances and Patient-Centered Treatment Perspectives”, which will be published soon, with a chapter titled “Neurobiological Perspective and Personalized Treatment in Schizophrenia”.
Both works, contributed by Üsküdar Üniversitesi faculty members, have been made accessible to students and researchers in the Üsküdar Üniversitesi library.
