A stakeholder meeting was held with the Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education within the scope of the 'Protecting Independent Living (YAŞAMKOR) Project,' carried out by Üsküdar University and the Therapeutic Brain Mapping Association, and supported by the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Civil Society Relations. During the meeting, it was emphasized that science-based social projects empower the future of students.

The meeting, hosted by Ümraniye District Director of National Education Mustafa Gözen, was attended by Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator and Young Brains Academy Director Assistant Professor Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Assistant Professor Dr. Görkem Altıntaş, Clinical Psychologist Edibe Serra Erol, and Project Administrative Assistant and Youth President Faruk Dündar.

New cooperation model in education and psychosocial support…
During the meeting, the project team presented the project's goals and activity plan on developing independent living skills for young people, increasing psychosocial resilience, and strengthening family-school-university cooperation.
Within the scope of the model to be implemented in educational institutions in the Ümraniye district, awareness training, guidance sessions, and science-based practical activities are planned for teachers, guidance services, and students.

Speaking at the meeting, Ümraniye District Director of National Education Mustafa Gözen stated that they attach importance to the project on behalf of the educational community. Gözen said; 'Such science-based social projects make significant contributions to strengthening our students not only academically but also emotionally and socially, empowering their future. We value Üsküdar University's meaningful initiative and hope that our cooperation will lead to future joint efforts.'

Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator Assistant Professor Dr. Nebiye Yaşar emphasized that the project is a concrete reflection of the university's social contribution vision. Yaşar said; 'The YAŞAMKOR project is a social innovation model that aims to strengthen young individuals' independent living skills, support their mental health, and increase their active participation in social life. The support of our National Education community is extremely valuable for the sustainability of this model. We believe that together we will build a strong future.'

The meeting concluded with a consensus to strengthen joint efforts in the fields of social innovation, psychosocial support, and youth development, thanks to the cooperation established between educational institutions and the university.
