Somali Delegation Visits Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör

Sadiq Abdullahi Abdi, Member of the House of the People of the Somali Federal Parliament, and Hashim Abdullahi Abdi, President of the Voice of Somalia Association, visited Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör in her office. During the visit, the tendencies and potentials of Somali students to study in Turkey were evaluated.

Üsküdar University is intensifying its educational activities in the international arena, progressing towards becoming a preferred education base in its region. 

Sadiq Abdullahi Abdi, Member of the House of the People of the Somali Federal Parliament, and Hashim Abdullahi Abdi, President of the Voice of Somalia Association, visited Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör in her office.  With this meeting, another significant step was taken to strengthen Üsküdar University's brand name in the international arena.

Göknur Gündoğar, International Promotion and Marketing Manager, Dilbar Aliyeva, International Registration and Communication Office Manager, and Ali Açıkgenç, International Registration and Communication Office Assistant, attended the meeting.

Expressing her satisfaction with the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör stated that the delegation conveyed their strong approval of Üsküdar University and that the university has a positive perception in Somalia. Güngör also added that the delegation expressed the view that young people reaching university age in their country might prefer to study at Üsküdar University in Turkey, instead of countries like America or Europe, adding that this attitude made them very happy. 

Tendencies and Potentials for Studying in Turkey Evaluated

During the meeting, where the tendencies and potentials of Somali students to study in Turkey were evaluated, it was discussed how Üsküdar University could guide the increasing demand for overseas education among Somali students.
