“Simulation training in perfusion” organized

In the training conducted with a large group of students, the students reinforced how to apply their theoretical knowledge in clinical practice. Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vice Rector and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, also attended the training.

Supported by simulation training at Medtronic Innovation Center
In the event attended by 4th-year Perfusion undergraduate students in 3 groups of 20, Perfusionist Emre Özsoylu gave a presentation. Throughout the program, students were informed by incorporating his experiences on the relationship between physics and perfusion. In the simulation training conducted with a large group of students, students reinforced how to apply their theoretical knowledge in clinical practice.
Furthermore, many topics such as basic flow physiology, the relationship between flow-pressure-resistance, oxygen transfer and ventilation kinetics, and systemic venous pressure were thoroughly covered. Supported by simulation training at the Medtronic Innovation Center, a different dimension was added to the students' perspective.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi conveyed its thanks
Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Perfusion, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Zehra Akgün, conveyed her thanks. Akgün stated: “Üsküdar Üniversitesi extends its gratitude for their contributions to Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, whose support for the Department of Perfusion we always feel, and who provided us with the opportunity to see and train in Medtronic Medical Technology Company's advanced simulation laboratories; to Medtronic Medical Technology Company for opening its doors and hosting us; and to trainer perfusionist Emre Özsoylu.”
Training will continue on December 2-3 with Perfusion Master's students!
Simulation training in perfusion will continue and will also be held for Perfusion Master's students between December 2-3, 2022.
