“Silent Good Deeds Platform” has been established…

Within the scope of the "Volunteer Ambassadors: Silent Good Deeds Platform" project, supported by the Turkish Red Crescent Association and initiated by the Haydi Tut Elimi Rehabilitation, Education and Aid Association, the "Silent Good Deeds Platform" was established for its sustainability. The first meeting with the platform member associations was held for this purpose.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Chairman of the Association; Dr. Lecturer Nebiye Yaşar, Director of the Young Brains Academy Application and Research Center (GBA); Prof. Dr. İsmail Barış, Rector's Advisor; Dr. Lecturer Fatma Turan from the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Ayşe Banu Güngenci, Secretary of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association; and Board Members Serpil Tarhan and Ayşegül Şekli attended the meeting held in the Senate hall.

Within the scope of the project, Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı, and Dr. Mustafa Karadeniz, Head of the Turkish Red Crescent Üsküdar Branch, are participating as project stakeholders. 

Aiming to develop a culture of volunteering

The project aims to develop a culture of volunteering in society, support Civil Society Organizations in working coordinately, create effective communication channels to promote volunteering, and more effectively convey the benefits of volunteering to young people. Additionally, establishing and strengthening cooperation between public and civil society organizations, increasing the effectiveness of civil society organizations and raising the quality of their services, creating a model based on principles of transparency, accountability, participation, and efficiency for the effective and efficient provision of services to civil society, and ensuring participation in social life through practical training are among the objectives of the Volunteer Ambassadors: Silent Good Deeds Platform.

Many associations attended the meeting

The meeting, where information about the platform's establishment and its organs was shared, was attended by the Haydi Tut Elimi Rehabilitation, Education and Aid Association, Turkish Red Crescent Üsküdar Branch Directorate, Hazar Education, Culture and Solidarity Association, Istanbul Caucasian Culture Association, Nar Masalları Association, Askıda 3D Association, Orphan Foundation, International Young Volunteers Association, and YEKDER - General Education and Culture Association. 

The project team includes Dr. Lecturer Fatma Turan from the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as Project Coordinator; Prof. Dr. İsmail Barış, Rector's Advisor, as Project Academic Advisor; Dr. Lecturer Nebiye Yaşar, Director of the Young Brains Academy Application and Research Center (GBA), as Project Consultant; Ayşe Banu Güngenci, Secretary of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association, as Assistant Project Coordinator; Ayşegül Şekli as Project Administrative Assistant; and Dr. Lecturer Melike Boztilki as Researcher.
