Üsküdar University, continuing its efforts in accessibility and inclusivity in higher education, completed its application in 21 different categories within the scope of the “Accessible University 2026 Awards” conducted by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE). Üsküdar submitted applications covering various faculties, institutes, vocational schools, and campuses in the areas of access in education, access in physical spaces, program and campus accessibility, and web accessibility. The submitted works, evaluated in both program-based and campus and digital accessibility areas within the scope of the applications, once again demonstrated Üsküdar's inclusive education approach.

Üsküdar University submitted award applications on behalf of its various faculties, institutes, vocational schools, and campuses with its efforts in the areas of access in education, access in physical spaces, program accessibility, and web accessibility.

Applications were made via YÖKSİS through the Accessible University Flags and Badges Application and Evaluation System (BODSİS). 

Accessible university Flag and Badge Award applications were made in a total of 21 categories

In this context, applications were made for the Accessible Program Badge for the Health Services Vocational School Social Services Program and the Institute of Sufism Studies, Department of Sufi Culture and Literature. 

Furthermore, while the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Health Services Vocational School applied to be evaluated in the access in education category; 

-    Faculty of Dentistry, 

-    Faculty of Medicine, 

-    Faculty of Health Sciences, 

-    Health Services Vocational School, 

-    Institute of Health Sciences and 

-    Institute of Social Sciences submitted their applications in the access in physical spaces category.

Applications were made in many categories

While flag award applications were made in the campus accessibility area for NP Health Campus and Çarşı Campus, an application for the Web Accessibility Badge, demonstrating the university's website's compliance with accessibility standards, was also submitted. 

Thus, Üsküdar University completed its Accessible University Flag and Badge Award applications in a total of 21 categories in the areas of access in education, access in physical spaces, program accessibility, campus accessibility, and web accessibility. 

Üsküdar University continues to develop its practices supporting the equal, independent, and effective participation of individuals with disabilities in education, social life, and campus services each passing year. 

Inclusive education approach continues 

The ongoing efforts in many areas, from making physical spaces accessible and organizing educational processes inclusively to digital accessibility initiatives and student support services, constitute an important part of the university's accessible and inclusive education approach.
