The 2021-2022 Academic Year Fall Semester Academic Board Meeting of Üsküdar Üniversitesi School of Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO) was held. The meeting was attended by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka, and School of Health Services Vocational School Director Doç. Dr. Mesut Karahan, along with Assistant Directors Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Salih Tuncay, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ömer Faruk Karasakal, and other faculty members. Planned academic studies (projects, publications, book studies) whose production process was completed were discussed in the meeting held for the academic staff. Information was provided about the 2209-A University Students Research Projects carried out by TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate for associate degree students, and the application processes were explained.
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized the necessity of academicians undertaking projects and highlighted the extreme importance of conducting studies with associate degree students.
Doç. Dr. Mesut Karahan pointed out that SHMYO's current quotas reached 90% occupancy with additional placements, and student numbers increased in many programs compared to previous years. In his presentation during the meeting, he detailed SHMYO student numbers, academic and administrative structure, SHMYO Commissions, FTS data, and held seminars.
In the meeting attended by the administrative and academic staff, ideas were exchanged about the pros, cons, and future plans of the School of Health Services Vocational School.
The program concluded with faculty members expressing their wishes and hopes.
