A “Positive Psychology” seminar was organized in cooperation with Üsküdar Üniversitesi Corporate Communications Department, Education and Guidance Services Unit, and Bakırköy Guidance and Research Center (RAM). Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan, a faculty member at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology, gave a presentation at the seminar. The seminar, organized for psychological counselors and guidance teachers, was met with great interest.

The seminar, held at Bakırköy Bahçeşehir College, was attended by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology faculty member Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan, as well as Education and Guidance Services Manager Özgür Akoğlan, Education and Guidance Services Deputy Manager Sevgi Toprakyaran, Education Institutions and Guidance Services Specialist Ergin Sarar, Education Institutions and Guidance Services Assistant Hatice Ada, and psychological counselors and guidance teachers.

Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan Delivered a Presentation
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology faculty member Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan, delivered his presentation titled ‘Guidance Studies with Positive Psychology’. Doğan drew attention to the concept of hope, stating; “Hope is finding different ways to achieve desired goals and motivating oneself to use these ways. It is also visiting your future and then returning to the present to prepare yourself for the journey.”

Important Information Provided to Experts Working in the Field
In the seminar, topics such as the contribution of positive psychology to guidance studies, the effects of hope on the individual, learned helplessness, and transferred helplessness were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Doğan guided the participants by approaching the challenges faced by experts working in the field from a scientific perspective.
Aimed to Strengthen Professional Qualifications
In the seminar organized in cooperation with Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Bakırköy Guidance and Research Center (RAM), it was aimed to strengthen the professional qualifications of psychological counselors and guidance teachers.
