Üsküdar Üniversitesi Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu (SHMYO) Head of Hair and Beauty Services Department Lecturer Birgül Erbaş was among the authors of the article titled “Fuzzy TOPSIS Based Decision-Making Model for the Evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility Projects,” which presented an important model for municipalities to evaluate social responsibility projects using scientific methods. In this study, which aimed to prioritize social responsibility projects planned by a central district municipality in Bursa, the projects were addressed with a multi-criteria evaluation approach within the framework of social contribution, sustainability, and economic benefit dimensions.

The research provides a scientific framework for public institutions to use their limited resources more effectively.
Social responsibility projects analyzed with multi-dimensional criteria
Within the scope of the research, seven different social responsibility projects planned by the municipality were evaluated according to many criteria such as social benefit, environmental impact, economic efficiency, stakeholder participation, and sustainability.
The main objective of the study was explained as revealing which projects produce higher social value with scientific data.
In this respect, the study fills an important gap in the literature by providing a strategic perspective on social responsibility project management.
Projects strengthening women's cooperatives ranked first
The findings showed that projects supporting women's participation in social and economic life have the highest priority. The project aiming to strengthen women's cooperatives ranked first due to its level of social contribution, its impact on economic development, and its sustainable structure.
On the other hand, accessibility-themed projects, which were found to be weak in terms of stakeholder participation and sustainability, ranked last in the evaluation.
A guiding model for decision-makers
The study stands out not only with its findings but also by offering an analytical model that will guide public institutions. The article helps municipalities scientifically determine which projects will generate more value when aiming to create social benefit.
A strong example of university-public collaboration
The research, conducted with the collaboration of academics and experts from different disciplines, addresses social, economic, environmental, and governance dimensions with a holistic approach. In this respect, the study stands out as a successful example of university-public collaboration.
This academic work, featuring Lecturer Birgül Erbaş, brings a new perspective to social responsibility research and provides a scientific basis for selecting projects compatible with sustainable development goals.
