Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences Occupational Health and Safety Department, an event titled "SBLISG Club in the Field" was held by the OHS Club. Within the scope of the event, students had the opportunity to practice how an Occupational Health and Safety technician can correctly use their knowledge.

A visit was made to a construction site of a single-story building with a 3,000 m2 installation in Istanbul Ataköy, with the participation of 33 students. The students, who conducted field research in groups of 10, were accompanied by Davut Arslan, a C-Class Construction Site Expert who was familiar with the site.

‘Field research report’ filled out
On the site where excavation and anchor installation were carried out, students had the opportunity to observe how their theoretical knowledge was applied. Each group of 10 people visiting the site was taken to the training room, and each was given a ‘field research report’ where they wrote down at least 8 hazards and at least 3 good practice examples based on their observations. Evaluations were made regarding the correct/incorrect parts of the information in the filled field research reports.
The indispensable ‘yellow cola’ of construction sites was served
Students had the opportunity to practice how an active Occupational Health and Safety technician in the field can correctly use their knowledge. The field trip ended with the serving of ‘yellow cola’, an indispensable item at construction sites, and a group photo.
