A delegation of Russian academics visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi. The visit, held in the Senate Meeting Hall, was attended by Prof. Sergei G. Sinelnikov-Murylev, Rector of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy; Larisa Taradina, Director for International Education and Cooperation Development; Hoffmann Alexander, Head of the Department of Information Management; Shkolyar Irina; Ph.D. Idrisova Vittoriya; and Rashid Mustafazade.
During the meeting held in the Senate Hall, the delegation was welcomed by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Head of the Political Science and International Relations Department Prof. Dr. Havva Kök Arslan, Director of the Institute of Sufi Studies Prof. Dr. Elif Erhan, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Head of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Corporate Communications Department Tahsin Aksu, and Director of International Relations Peyman Jafari.
The meeting, chaired by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, began with the viewing of Üsküdar Üniversitesi's promotional film.
Prof. Sergei G. Sinelnikov-Murylev: “Our Russian students are very interested in Turkey”
Prof. Sergei G. Sinelnikov-Murylev, Rector of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy, affiliated with the Ministry of the Russian Federation, thanked for the warm welcome and stated that he would expect Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan in Russia. Sinelnikov-Murylev said, “We are open to all kinds of cooperation. Our Russian students are very interested in Turkey, especially Istanbul.”
Special Russian language education program to be shared for Turkish students
Larisa Taradina, Director for International Education and Cooperation Development at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, stated that they “will share a special Russian language education program for Turkish students.”
Hoffmann Alexander: “We recommend visiting Üsküdar Üniversitesi”
Speaking about their international activities, Hoffmann Alexander, Head of the Department of Information Management, said, “We tell our students in Russia that they should visit Üsküdar Üniversitesi. The warm welcome from Istanbul and Üsküdar Üniversitesi, and their constructive attitude, pleased us greatly.”

Prof. Dr. Havva Kök Arslan, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, stated, “Strengthening cooperation is important for both countries.”

Information given about the summer school
Prof. Dr. Elif Erhan, Director of the Institute of Sufi Studies, provided information about the summer school. She conveyed that Russian students could participate in the summer school and learn Turkish, adding that Turkish students could also participate in language education in Russia.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi's international students were mentioned
Peyman Jafari, Director of International Relations, shared information about international students studying at Üsküdar Üniversitesi. Jafari stated that Üsküdar Üniversitesi has students from 95 different countries and also noted the presence of a large number of Russian students.
Planning was made to develop bilateral relations
As a result of the meeting, planning was done for signing an MOU with Russia and developing bilateral relations, and ideas were exchanged on Turkish and Russian language education.
