A group of students from Virginia Theological Seminary visited Turkey as part of a research and learning program. During their visit, the students visited the Risale-i Nur Research Platform (RİNAP) and received information about Bediüzzaman Said Nursi and his Risale-i Nur works.

Representing RİNAP at the program, Dr. Nafi Yalçın, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir, and Prof. Dr. Faris Kaya delivered speeches.

Dr. Nafi Yalçın gave a presentation on Said Nursi's educational life, academic career, and religious and social thoughts. In his presentation, Dr. Yalçın emphasized the importance of Bediüzzaman's Medreset'üz Zehra project; stated that his works instilled hope for a bright future in Muslims; advocated for the necessity of freedom, social peace, and security; always taught 'positive action'; and expressed that his works, named Risale-i Nur, which explain and prove the messages of the Qur'an in a way suitable for our age, are the most beautiful fruit of his arduous life.

Prof. Dr. Faris Kaya addressed the main themes of Risale-i Nur. Following both presentations, students participated in discussions by asking questions about topics they were curious about.

Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir, in his presentation, offered an in-depth analysis of Said Nursi's understanding of compassion and ethics. In his speech, he stated, 'Said Nursi taught us that compassion is not merely a human virtue, but also a divine principle reflected in every aspect of creation. Even the smallest creatures are valuable as beings representing God's mercy.' The presentation also highlighted key points such as 'showing respect to all living beings, demonstrating kindness and empathy even under difficult circumstances, and that compassion is not a choice but a duty as a reflection of divine mercy.' Participants described this perspective on ethical values as inspiring.

The program garnered significant interest from students and academics and received very positive feedback from participants.
