Istanbul Governorship and Üsküdar University held an important meeting within the scope of “REHAKOR”, “AİLEKOR” and some ongoing projects aiming to increase societal welfare and social solidarity. Academics from Üsküdar University, led by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, attended the meeting hosted by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül. During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the importance of implementing projects aimed at strengthening the family structure, supporting public health, and improving individuals' quality of life as a sustainable and participatory social innovation model.

The meeting, hosted by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and attended by Istanbul Deputy Governor Serap Çetin Özmen, included Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Head of Medical Biochemistry Department of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Sait Keleş, Social Contribution Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Nebiye Yaşar, and Dr. Lecturer Fatma Turan from the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Projects aim to create lasting impacts
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül underlined that the collaborations made should transform into projects that will create lasting impacts touching different segments of society.
Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that as a university, the social innovation projects they develop with public institutions will continue to bring together scientific knowledge with the needs in the field.

Innovative project models discussed
During the meeting, innovative project models that would serve as examples in the field of social contribution were exchanged.
Furthermore, the importance of developing solution-oriented, sustainable, and participatory models for Istanbul's social needs was emphasized.

In this context, the “REHAKOR” and “AİLEKOR” projects, aiming to increase societal welfare and social solidarity, were discussed.
