Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör at Baku State University…

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör visited Baku State University, with which a cooperation protocol was signed last year, as part of her visit to Azerbaijan. Meeting with Rector Prof. Dr. Elçin Babyev and his delegation, Güngör stated that the cooperation carried out between the two universities is important. Güngör also suggested to her counterpart that they could organize an international journalism symposium together. 

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, who made contacts in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, for a series of visits and works, was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Head of the New Media and Communication Department. 

Güngör and Atalay visited Baku State University, with which a cooperation protocol was signed last year. 

Meeting with Rector Prof. Dr. Elçin Babyev, Güngör evaluated the works carried out to date and those planned for the future. 

Prof. Dr. Babyev: “A joint scientific journal can be published…”

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Baku State University Rector Prof. Dr. Elçin Babyev noted that the academic cooperation protocol signed with Üsküdar University last year benefits the development of both educational institutions. Babyev pointed out that the cooperation covers the fields of education, scientific research, joint scientific seminars, and conferences. The Rector reminded that there are also cooperation opportunities in other areas, adding that it is possible for the two universities to publish a joint scientific-popular journal for the dissemination of science.  

Prof. Dr. Güngör: “We can organize an International Journalism Symposium”

During the visit, which took place in a very sincere atmosphere, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör emphasized that the cooperation established is a partnership that should be highly appreciated. Güngör, a former international journalism symposium, suggested that it could be organized in Azerbaijan with Baku State University.

Güngör and Atalay were also guests on the Gün Sonu (End of Day) program broadcast on ARB, which operates in Azerbaijan. Güngör and Atalay made important evaluations regarding media and the transformation of media.

As part of the trip, Prof. Dr. Güngör also met with students of Baku State University. Güngör gave a seminar to the students on the topic of “Media”.
