“The 2024-2025 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony” was held at the Presidential Complex Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center, with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and under the auspices of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör and an accompanying delegation attended the ceremony.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Communication Faculty Deputy Dean Dr. Lecturer Ceren Saran Doğan, and Head of the Communication Faculty Radio, Television and Cinema Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esennur Sirer attended the “2023-2024 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony” held at the Presidential Complex with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The ceremony held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, YÖK members, university rectors, and students.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said; “The greater the value given to knowledge and science, the brighter a country’s future will be. Universities are the centers that produce knowledge. Academies are not only places for knowledge transfer but also platforms for evaluating the ideas a country needs.”
YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar stated that Turkey's progress in international university rankings is an indicator of its approaches that promote quality, innovation, diversity, and competitiveness in higher education.
