A quality meeting with students was held at the Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) of Üsküdar University. VSHS academics came together with program student representatives to evaluate quality processes. During the meeting, the role of student feedback in improving the quality of education was emphasized, and the contributions of accreditation to programs and students were discussed. At the meeting, which aimed to strengthen a student-centered education approach, it was underlined that quality processes should be continuously improved with the participation of all stakeholders.

The meeting, held at the Emirnebi Conference Hall at Üsküdar University’s Çarşı Campus, was attended by VSHS Director Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Vice Directors Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek and Instructor Esad Sadık Demirtaş, along with academic staff and program student representatives.

Student feedback is very important
In his opening speech, Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal stated that feedback received from students is extremely important in quality processes and that the quality of education can be further enhanced through students’ views and contributions.

The quality process should be embraced by all stakeholders
VSHS Quality Commission Chair and Head of the Health Institutions Management Program, Asst. Prof. Öznur Karaoğlu, addressed the contributions of accreditation to programs and students in her presentation and emphasized that quality processes should be embraced and valued by all stakeholders.
With this traditionally held meeting, the importance of ensuring the sustainability of a student-centered education approach and maintaining quality processes at a level that allows continuous improvement was highlighted.
