Under the “Education Cooperation Protocol” signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorship, and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students from Saray Anatolian Imam Hatip High School visited Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Anesthesia Program. During the event, students were informed about the scope of the anesthesia program, its working areas, and professional practices. Within the scope of the program, topics such as airway management, monitoring, and vital sign tracking were explained through practical demonstrations.

Information provided regarding university preference process
In the training conducted by Anesthesia Program Head Instructor Merve Aydın Karabaş and Anesthesia Program Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül, detailed information was shared about the educational content and career opportunities of the anesthesia program to help students make more conscious university choices.
The critical role of anesthesia technicians in the healthcare system was also conveyed with examples during the training.

Practical training garnered significant interest
Within the scope of the program, students were practically shown topics such as;
- Airway management,
- Monitoring applications,
- Vital sign tracking,
- Introduction to medical devices used in a simulation environment.
Through the practical applications, students had the opportunity to learn about ensuring a secure airway, using monitoring devices, and tracking vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.

Instructor Merve Aydın Karabaş: “Accurate information guides the right career choice”
Speaking at the training, Anesthesia Program Head Instructor Merve Aydın Karabaş stated that it is of great importance for students to access accurate information in their career choices, and used the following expressions:
“These kinds of promotional activities guide young people in their career planning. The field of anesthesia is an important healthcare discipline requiring high attention and responsibility. Students getting to know this field closely strengthens their perspectives towards the profession. Accurate information guides the right career choice.”

Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül: “Practical presentations increase students' interest”
Stating that practical training increases students' interest in the field of health, Anesthesia Program Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül said; “It is of great importance to raise awareness among young people interested in the field of health at an early stage. Especially simulation-based trainings make significant contributions to students learning professions by experiencing them. Practical presentations increase students' interest.”

The training program, in which students actively participated, drew attention with both its informative and experience-gaining aspects. Participants found answers to their questions about the healthcare field and gained a clearer perspective on department and career choices.
