As part of a management camp organized by the Young Doctors of the Earth Association, a Project Processes and Grant Management Training was delivered by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Director of Üsküdar University Young Minds Academy and Coordinator of Social Contribution. Held at the Kocaeli Kefken Youth Camp, the training attracted strong interest from participating youth.


The Management Camp, organized to enhance young people’s competencies in the field of humanitarian aid, brought together members of the Young Doctors of the Earth Association at the Kocaeli Kefken Youth Camp.
Within the scope of the camp program, Dr. Nebiye Yaşar provided training titled Project Processes and Grant Management. The training aimed to strengthen participants’ capacities in project development, crisis management, and access to funding resources.

A scientific perspective on project culture and fund management
Throughout the training, scientifically grounded methods for planning, implementing, and ensuring the sustainability of social impact projects were discussed. Members of Young Doctors of the Earth gained comprehensive knowledge on producing social benefit, project development through a social entrepreneurship approach, sustainability principles, and pathways to accessing national and international funding mechanisms.
Within the training program, participants received in-depth and practical instruction on the following topics:
- Needs analysis
- Logical framework approach
- Target group and stakeholder management
- Field implementation design
- Monitoring and evaluation processes
- Sustainability and visibility strategies
- Effective use of national and international grant resources

Dr. Nebiye Yaşar: “Scientific methods give wings to idealism”
Speaking during the training, Dr. Nebiye Yaşar emphasized that young people must possess not only technical skills but also social sensitivity and a scientific perspective in project development processes. Yaşar stated: “When we bring young people’s idealism together with scientific methods, we create not only projects but powerful models that generate transformation in society. The seed of goodness that takes root in the hearts of young people can reach the strength to transform an entire community through well-managed projects. Scientific methods give wings to idealism, and sound planning becomes the roadmap of compassion.”
Future humanitarian leaders in the making
At the Kocaeli Kefken Youth Camp, participants had the opportunity to develop projects in areas such as disaster management, humanitarian aid in crisis regions, child and youth programs, and field health practices.
The training aimed to enhance young people’s field-oriented knowledge and practical experience, contributing to the development of future leaders in humanitarian aid.
