Prof. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan, whose books, academic works, and conferences were closely followed and highly appreciated, passed away at the age of 79. Gürdoğan, who was an Advisor to the Rector of Üsküdar University, an academician, writer, and thinker, has significant works that serve as a guide both academically and for life… Gürdoğan was honored with an award at the 5th High Human Values Awards Ceremony, organized by Üsküdar University in 2020.  

Prof. Dr. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan, who undertook significant works on a global scale, passed away in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for some time.

Author-Academician Prof. Dr. Nazif Gürdoğan was deemed worthy of an award at the 5th High Human Values Awards Ceremony organized by Üsküdar University in 2020, for his 'works that define life as an invisible university and contribute to Asım's Generation, as described by Mehmet Akif.'

In his speech, Gürdoğan stated:

Prof. Dr. Nazif Gürdoğan: "Values will henceforth be the most important source of power today" 

"We need human values more than ever. Just as agricultural societies transformed into industrial societies, and industrial societies into information societies, in the coming years, information societies must inevitably transform into value societies. Values will henceforth be the most important source of power today. 24 values are very important for the future of the world. Valueless knowledge is always destructive…" 
Prof. Dr. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan, a professor of economics and recipient of the 2020 Mehmet Akif İnan Culture, Art, and Literature Award, was bid farewell by his loved ones in Eskişehir after the funeral prayer performed at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque following the noon prayer on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

WHO IS ERSİN NAZİF GÜRDOĞAN?

Prof. Dr. Nazif Gürdoğan graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1967. 

Gürdoğan completed his Master's degree at Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1968, and received his Doctorate title in 1975 after completing his doctoral studies in Production Management. 

Gürdoğan received the title of Associate Professor in 1987 and became a Professor in 1994. 

Gürdoğan, who lectured at universities both in Turkey and abroad, served as an Advisor to the Rector of Üsküdar University. 

Gürdoğan also conducted valuable works within Üsküdar University.
