Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: “Mother triggers the school phobia!”

Students started school after a long holiday and try to adapt to a new academic year. Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan made important recommendations to families in order to overcome this period in a healthy way. 

He pointed out that the children who will go to school for the first time might experience fear for leaving their homes, where they feel the safest. 

He indicated the effect of mother anxiety on the formation of school phobia. He said that the child should grow up in a house that has rules. He also underlines that the period between 0-3 years is very important for the development of the child.
