Prof. Dr. Tayfun Uzbay Represented Turkey at the 80th International FIP Congress

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector's Advisor, Head of the Internal Medical Sciences Department, and Central Board Member of the Turkish Pharmacists' Association Prof. Dr. Tayfun Uzbay attended the 80th International FIP (International Pharmaceutical Federation) Congress. At the congress held during the Council Member Meeting, Uzbay represented Turkey as a delegate of the Turkish Pharmacists' Association.

At the congress, where reports from all working groups related to the field of pharmacy were presented, and everything from the FIP budget to policies and projects was discussed and voted on, Prof. Dr. Tayfun Uzbay cast a vote on behalf of the President of the Turkish Pharmacists' Association and represented our country.

Uzbay: “Pharmacy worldwide will also undergo a change after Covid-19”

Prof. Dr. Tayfun Uzbay, who participated in all official programs at the congress, shared his observations from the event. Uzbay stated, “Pharmacy worldwide will also undergo a change after Covid-19. They are in search of that change. They are very concerned about the quality of pharmacy education, discussing how private universities might lower standards, and the low job satisfaction and motivation among pharmacists. It was stated that in Israel, 40% of pharmacy graduates do not practice the profession due to disappointment and low job satisfaction, instead turning to other fields.”
