Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy's New Book on Shelves

Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, Vice-Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Director of the Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences, and a Member of the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), has released her latest book, "Cinayet Kokusu", which has now taken its place on the shelves.

Penned by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy and published by Doğan Yayıncılık, the crime and thriller book "Cinayet Kokusu" has met its readers.

Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, a prominent figure recognized internationally for her work in forensic sciences, has brought her 10th book, "Cinayet Kokusu," to her readers.

About the Book:

As they climbed the stairs, one of the police officers asked, "What is this smell?" Their noses were accustomed to every smell; the smell of gasoline, burning, cannabis, mold, the sweat of the suspect they'd placed in the back seat of the patrol car, and of course, the smell of death... "You can forget every smell, but never the smell of death." This was a phrase retired officers repeated to newcomers in the force. As they repeatedly pounded on the apartment door, shouting, "Open up, police!", they were still trying to understand the sharp odor that reached their nostrils.

Why do women love watching crime dramas? Do "red rooms," where you can watch someone being tortured for money, really exist? How effective are DNA analyses in identifying criminals? Is it possible to solve a murder with a handful of soil?

Blood-curdling serial killer stories come to life through the pen of Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy. Murders unsolved for years, killers straight out of Agatha Christie novels, criminals who capture and kill their victims using unimaginable methods, monsters who enjoy eating human flesh...

Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy is on the trail of serial killers from China to Brazil, from the USA to Austria. As she shares the horrifying story of each, she also conveys the fascinating developments in forensic sciences. "Cinayet Kokusu" is once again a Sevil Atasoy book you won't be able to put down.
