Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, known for her work in forensic sciences in Turkey and worldwide for the prevention of crime and the apprehension of criminals, met with students from Özel Çamlıca Bilfen Anadolu Lisesi. Atasoy stated that students graduating from forensic sciences will work in private or official criminal laboratories and conduct scientific research in Turkey, just like in all developed countries.

Forensic Sciences Available in Only 2 Universities in Turkey
In the very friendly meeting, Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy explained the working areas of Forensic Sciences through examples, stating that undergraduate education in Forensic Sciences is available in only 2 universities in Turkey. She noted that students graduating from forensic science programs will work in private or official criminal laboratories, conduct scientific research, and develop new methods and equipment, just like in all developed countries, including Turkey.

Forensic Scientists Play a Major Role in Solving Cases
Emphasizing that there is no such thing as a perfect crime and that forensic scientists play a major role in solving cases by collaborating with different disciplines, Atasoy also shared examples of notable cases that occurred abroad and had very long legal processes.
During the question-and-answer session, students directed their questions to Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy.
When asked how witnessing hundreds of extraordinary cases affected her daily life, Atasoy added that this process did not put her in a difficult situation because she viewed it from a professional perspective.

After a long conversation with teachers and students, Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy was presented with a plaque and flowers, and the program concluded after a group photo session.
