Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, attended the introductory program of the RaDiChal (Rare Disease Challenge) 2021 Competition, which is a nationwide, inter-university Genetic Therapy Competition for Rare Diseases. Tarhan congratulated the youth on their talents and the success of the RaDiChal group, expressed wishes that would be a beacon of hope for talented young people, and conveyed his happiness at the scientific achievements made.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that entrepreneurial and innovative individuals are a great opportunity for young people; "I find the term 'talent scout' very fitting for our professors. Learning, knowing, and researching are now possible for young individuals. Engagement with science comes from curiosity and discovery. Successful paths are not smooth roads, but rocky ones. Being able to walk and manage successfully is very important. These competitions started with good intentions and continue. It is an achievement to enable young people to showcase their talents. Our professors are a light for the youth." he said.

Tarhan noted that the university started with preliminary predictions in gene therapy and genetic science studies; "Establishing gene centers is not easy. We are taking steps in terms of studies and applications. Especially when medicine is helpless, we are moving towards successful steps. As Üsküdar Üniversitesi, we also attach importance to artificial intelligence. We have big goals. We will be a light for young people in the excitement of science. Protecting the talents we see in them is a hope for us and our professors. Our horizon and vision emerge in this way. Let's prioritize collaboration in scientific studies.
