Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, attended the opening ceremony of the Üsküdar District Governorate Book Fair, held in Üsküdar Square within the scope of the 'I Read, Istanbul Reads' project. At the opening, a call was made: 'Everyone should write either a poem, an article, or a book for Gaza.'

The Üsküdar District Governorate Book Fair, organized within the scope of the 'I Read, Istanbul Reads' project, was opened with a ceremony held in Üsküdar Square.

The opening of the program, to which Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, was also invited, was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı, Former President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez, students, teachers, and numerous readers.

Following the protocol speeches, the fair was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Tarhan emphasized that book fairs contribute to individuals' intellectual development and support the dissemination of reading culture in society.

The book fair organized by the Üsküdar District Governorate will host book lovers in Üsküdar Square between October 11-19.
