Dean of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör was among the jury members of the Radio and Television Awards Selection Committee at the Türkiye Gazeteciler Cemiyeti (TGC) Sedat Simavi Awards. The awards to be presented to journalists, cartoonists, literature, sports, and science professionals deemed worthy of the TGC 2021 Sedat Simavi Awards have been announced.

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör on the Sedat Simavi Awards Jury…
The awards, which have been ongoing for 45 years in the name of Sedat Simavi, the Founding President of TGC who passed away on December 11, 1953, are presented in the fields of journalism, television, radio, cartoon, literature, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences, and sports. In the 2021 Sedat Simavi Awards, Canan Coşkun received the Journalism award, Gülay Oktar the Radio award, Barış Kaya and Mehmet Akif Balıkçıoğlu the Television award, Hilal Özcan the Cartoon award, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Burgaç the Social Sciences award, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Uzun the Natural Sciences award, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğba Bağcı Önder the Health Sciences award, and finally, Mete Gazoz became the recipient of the Sports award.
Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, one of the seven jury members of the Radio and Television Awards Selection Committee, continues her work in media and communication in addition to her role as the Dean of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication. Güngör, who is the Editor-in-Chief of Etkileşim Dergisi (Interaction Magazine), a publication of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, also has numerous published books and articles in the field of communication.
