Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör is once again among the jury members for this year's Radio Television category of the awards given for 47 years on behalf of Sedat Simavi, Founding President of the Türkiye Journalists' Association (TGC).

Among the jury members for this year's Radio and Television category of the competition, where applications are accepted until September 30, is Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. Along with Güngör, prominent academics and media professionals from the communication world are also serving on the Radio Television category jury.
At the TGC Sedat Simavi Awards, prizes are given in nine categories: Journalism, Radio, Television, Cartoon, Literature, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Sports. The number of award categories and the members of the Selection Committee are determined annually by the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Journalists' Association.
Candidates nominated by organizations and educational institutions, those who apply personally for candidacy, and candidates identified by the Preliminary Research Boards established by the Türkiye Journalists' Association are submitted to the Selection Committee for evaluation.
The awards are distributed with a ceremony every December and announced through the media.
