Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk was elected as the President of the 11th National Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Congress. Konuk was elected president despite not being a candidate, as more than half of the voting faculty members nominated him.
The National Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Congresses, held for many years, aim to increase the quality and reliability of scientific studies and to share current information in the field of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology among researchers in our country. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Vice Rector of Üsküdar University, will preside over the congress, which is organized annually with the aim of making significant contributions to our country and the world of science, in 2022.
Konuk, who is the Head of the Molecular Biology Department and PARGE Coordinator at Üsküdar University, was elected as the congress president despite not being a candidate, as more than 50% of the voting faculty members nominated him.
At the 10th congress, Associate Prof. Dr. Mesut Karahan, Assistant Prof. Dr. Cihan Taştan, Associate Prof. Dr. Pınar Öz, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Ebru Özkan Oktay from Üsküdar University participated under the session chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, with the topic 'Current Issues in Biotechnology'.
The congress aims for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology sciences, along with multidisciplinary fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Chemistry, Forestry, and Agriculture, especially Biology, to work together and in collaboration.
