The book “Global Power Play,” authored by Prof. Dr. Havva Kök Arslan, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) at Üsküdar Üniversitesi’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has taken its place on the shelves.

Prof. Dr. Havva Kök Arslan's work, titled “Global Power Play,” has been released by Sarmal Publishing. Prof. Dr. Havva Kök Arslan says the following about the book: “Academicians' opinions are usually consulted regarding current global issues; however, during classes, when we saw that young people's views on future problems and solution proposals were much more responsible, creative, and exciting, we thought that these must be published and reach a wider audience. In Turkey, young people's thoughts on national and international events, whether they follow these topics, and if so, which information sources they primarily use to access information on these topics, are extremely important. The work is one of the rare publications in this sense,” she said.
A significant portion of young people's information sources on global issues consists of television and the internet. This, in turn, causes young people to have information that is not related to reality. She emphasizes that young people should be provided with as much scientific, research-based academic information as possible on this matter. This book, which will increase awareness by fostering knowledge-based discussions on the different causes of national and international problems, awaits its readers on the shelves with a completely different perspective that will guide young people globally.
