Problems and solutions related to the prohibition of discrimination were discussed at the meeting held by the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey (TIHEK). Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı from Üsküdar Üniversitesi also participated in the meeting, which was attended by academics, NGOs, and representatives of public institutions and organizations. Süleymanlı stated that refugee-related issues should be addressed as a trans-political matter and that an approach based on universal human rights should be adopted.

Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı: 'Refugee Issues Must Be Addressed with a Trans-Political Approach'

In the program, which started with the opening speeches of TIHEK President Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç, the outcomes of the meeting were evaluated, and views were exchanged on combating mobbing, xenophobia, and hate speech.
Speaking at the meeting held at Ankara Litai Guesthouse, Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, Director of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Human Rights Practice and Research Center and Head of the Sociology Department, stated that refugee-related issues should be addressed as a trans-political matter and that an approach based on universal human rights should be adopted.
Süleymanlı also emphasized the need for a civil understanding that will directly address society, make its voice heard by society, and actively utilize existing communication channels sensitive to this issue.

The second session continued with an exchange of views on problems and solutions in the fight against discrimination based on disability.
