Head of the Sociology Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, participated via video in an international conference organized by Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence on August 31. Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı delivered a presentation titled 'Current State and Future of Turkey - Uzbekistan Relations' at the conference. Emphasizing that Turkey and Uzbekistan are two sister countries sharing a common language and history, and based on similar cultures and traditions, Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı stated: "Turkey's recognition of Uzbekistan's independence on December 16, 1991, was a high expression of this brotherhood. Independence is an invaluable blessing, and every member of society has a responsibility to protect it."

Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı stated that Uzbekistan-Turkey relations are rapidly developing in many vital areas, from education to tourism, from transportation to security, and that a positive growth trend is clearly visible in all areas. He emphasized that the mutual visits and close relations between the Presidents of both countries play an important role in further strengthening relations between our countries and in cooperation between the two states reaching a strategic dimension. In this context, Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı stressed the necessity for scientists and creative intellectuals from both countries to engage in closer cooperation with each other, and added that the scope of these relations is also important for the future of the Turkic World as a whole.
