Prof. Dr. Nesrin Dilbaz, Psychiatrist at Üsküdar Üniversitesi NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, participated in a significant panel as an invited guest of SAKINA Group, one of the largest state-affiliated mental health organizations in Abu Dhabi. 

The meeting, attended by approximately 100 psychiatrists, addressed current approaches to preventing relapses and managing negative symptoms in schizophrenia. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz shared holistic treatment models applied in Turkey and her clinical experiences with her international colleagues. The panel provided a remarkable platform for mutual information exchange and experience sharing. Treatment and rehabilitation practices in the field of addiction were also discussed. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz stated that she hopes the discussions will pave the way for international collaborations in the future.

Prof. Dr. Dilbaz Shared Her Clinical Experiences in Abu Dhabi!

SAKINA Group, which provides public mental health services in Abu Dhabi, employs approximately 100 psychiatrists. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz delivered a comprehensive presentation to the mental health specialists working within this structure, covering approaches to relapse prevention in schizophrenia, current treatment methods, and clinical experience sharing.

Stating that the panel also served as a mutual platform for knowledge and experience exchange, Prof. Dr. Dilbaz also highlighted the strengths of Abu Dhabi’s mental health system. She noted that many psychiatrists work as consultants in the region and that there are large-scale addiction centers, which also include rehabilitation services. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz, who stated that there was particular interest in her clinical experiences in the fields of schizophrenia and addiction, also provided information about the holistic treatment and collaboration models applied in Turkey.

Emphasizing that potential collaborations in the field of addiction were also discussed, Prof. Dr. Dilbaz said, “Questions were asked about the treatment processes and interdisciplinary collaboration models we implement here. We hope that these contacts will transform into concrete collaborations in the coming period.”
