Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector's Advisor Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan met with students within the scope of İstanbul Erkek Liseliler Eğitim Vakfı (İELEV) Schools Career Days. Arıboğan, warning students to break away from standardized patterns, stated that the sole condition for success and happiness is to pursue a field aligned with one's talent and interests.
“There is only one definition of success: to be happy”
Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, emphasizing the importance of always considering things that will make us happy as the first step when making our career plans, said: “How we look at life is important. We are not a lonely society; this is part of our culture. There is only one definition of success: to be happy. Happiness is a totality of virtues. True happiness comes from making others happy. When making your career plan, you should also consider things that will make you happy. Many professions will disappear, employment opportunities are diminishing, but new employment areas will emerge. Thanks to technology, all kinds of opportunities are now accessed much faster and easier. Thanks to the benefits of technology, people will both work and be able to devote more time to their social lives. Your profession will not be able to enslave you; there are completely different mechanisms before you now.”
“Break away from standardized patterns!”
Arıboğan, offering advice to students as they climb the career ladder, said: “My advice is; break away from standardized patterns. Pursue fields that will make you happy and successful. The sole condition for success and happiness is to pursue a field aligned with your talents and interests.”
After the speech, Arıboğan sincerely answered questions from the students.
