During the visit, an exchange of information about current issues took place. Prof. Dr. Aziz Akgül also signed his newly released book, Hepitalizm, and presented it to Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan.
“Hepitalism as Happiness, Tolerance, and Compassion”
In his book, Prof. Dr. Akgül shares the problems caused by capitalism and globalization, and attempts to help better understand the vital need for a shift towards hepitalism. Describing himself as a 'hepitalist', Prof. Dr. Akgül wishes for hepitalism, an approach of happiness, tolerance, and compassion, to be implemented worldwide, stating: 'In an age where ostentation and arrogance run rampant, there is a need for the simplicity of life. Especially after the coronavirus pandemic, by ‘thinking outside the box,' by shedding our excesses and simplifying, we can achieve the unity of diversity.'
