Prof. Dr. Ahmet Konrot attended the closing meeting of İSTER

The closing meeting of the 'Technology-Oriented, Sustainable Telerehabilitation Service Production and Qualified Workforce Training Project in Istanbul' (İSTER), advised by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Konrot, Head of the Speech and Language Therapy Department at Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, and supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), was held. The meeting, attended by Istanbul Provincial Health Director Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, saw participation from numerous healthcare professionals. 

At the closing meeting held at Üsküdar Zeynep Kamil Women and Children's Diseases Training and Research Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Konrot, Head of the Speech and Language Therapy Department, and Meltem Bayraktar, Project Manager for R&D and Innovation Policies Directorate, were present.

Treatment is provided by expert physiotherapists and speech-language therapists

The 'Technology-Oriented Sustainable Telerehabilitation Service Production and Qualified Workforce Training Project in Istanbul' (İSTER), provided by Erenköy Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital under the coordination of the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate, is a telerehabilitation service. It was established for the treatment of patients who are examined by physical therapy and rehabilitation specialists and deemed suitable to benefit from telerehabilitation services. The treatment is planned to be implemented by expert physiotherapists and speech-language therapists in their homes using specially developed software programs and technologies for the project. 

Numerous healthcare professionals attended the closing program

Numerous healthcare professionals participated in the closing program of the project, which was supported within the framework of the Istanbul Development Agency - Innovative Istanbul Financial Support Program. 

Telerehabilitation services provided to 243 people at home using software support

In İSTER's 18-month project, a total of 243 individuals, including 61 with speech disorders, 60 with Parkinson's, 32 with cerebral palsy, and 90 with hemiplegia, received applications such as telerehabilitation gamification programs, online teletherapy, speech and language therapy, and online cognitive exercises at their homes using software support.
