Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology faculty member Prof. Rahime Nükhet Çıkrıkçı participated in the online event held within the scope of the İstanbul Measurement and Evaluation Academy affiliated to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. In the training, which was held with the aim to reveal a process and result-oriented integrated understanding in measurement and evaluation, Çıkrıkçı shared her remarks on the subject of 'Process-Based/Formative Evaluation Approach Basic Methods and Principles'.

Process-Based/Formative Evaluation Approach was discussed

As part of the 2023-24 Fall semester 5th week courses, İstanbul Academy of Measurement and Evaluation hosted Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology faculty member Prof. Rahime Nükhet Çıkrıkçı.
While there was great interest in the trainings organized once a week with the support of 8 academicians from 8 universities, Çıkrıkçı drew attention to the topic of 'Process-Based/Formative Evaluation Approach Basic Methods and Principles'.
Çıkrıkçı also answered the questions of the participants in the training.
Why Measurement and Evaluation is important in Education?
It is very important for the correct management of measurement and evaluation processes in education by operating the decision-making processes correctly in education and making evaluations with high expectations. It is an important educational need today to develop qualified measurement tools in accordance with teaching objectives, achievements and skills and to ensure the reliability and validity of the evaluation results.
In today's conditions, it has become a necessity to try to provide students with higher-order thinking skills and to use complementary measurement and evaluation methods to measure higher-order thinking skills in classroom assessment and evaluation stages.
