The Positive Psychology Talks, aiming for mental well-being, happiness, hope, a meaningful and purposeful life, and self-actualization, are starting… The first lecture, titled 'Introduction to Positive Psychology: The Science of Living Well,' which anyone interested can attend, will be held on Friday, April 26.
The speakers for the first lecture will be authoritative figures in their field: Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, and Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan.
Participation in all lectures, planned to last 8 weeks, is free of charge, and attendees will receive a digital participation certificate.

Üsküdar University, which has carried out significant work in the field of Positive Psychology in Turkey and organized congresses in this area, is embarking on a new initiative. The Positive Psychology Talks, organized by the Positive Psychology Research and Application Laboratory within Üsküdar University, are commencing.
The first lecture, titled 'Introduction to Positive Psychology: The Science of Living Well,' as part of the Positive Psychology Talks, which anyone interested can attend, will be held via Zoom on Friday, April 26.
In the first of the Positive Psychology Talks, Üsküdar University Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan; and Faculty Member of the Department of Psychology at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Tayfun Doğan will deliver speeches.
The purpose of the talks, which are planned to last 8 weeks, is as follows:
“The findings of positive psychology are mostly known and utilized by university students and academics. However, the vast majority of people outside the academic environment are not aware of concepts such as good living, mental well-being, happiness, hope, meaningful and purposeful life, self-esteem, self-compassion, and self-actualization. The aim of this scientific event is to take the knowledge and findings related to positive psychology off the shelves, bring them outside the academic community, and present them for the benefit of the public. The ultimate goal of this event, which can be considered a social responsibility project, is to support individuals on their journey of self-actualization and human flourishing by increasing their happiness and quality of life.”
The content of the Positive Psychology Talks has been planned week by week as follows:

4. Week: Humanity's Search for Meaning and Mental Health

6. Week: Post-Traumatic Growth: The Transformative Power of Pain
7. Week: Neuroplasticity as a Source of Hope
8. Week: I Love Myself Because Someone Has To: Self-Compassion
Each seminar in the publicly available training will last 90 minutes. At the end of the free seminars, those who attend all lectures will receive a digital participation certificate.
