Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program, Prof. Rogerio Dionisio, a faculty member from Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB), one of Portugal's well-established educational institutions, visited the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. During his visit, Dionisio not only shared his expertise in the field but also laid the groundwork for strategic collaborations that could be established between the two institutions.

In line with its internationalization strategies, Üsküdar University, continuing to strengthen its ties with prestigious institutions worldwide, hosted an important guest.
The visit, which took place in the Main Campus Senate Hall, was attended by Prof. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Gökhan Apaydın, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and faculty academics.

New bridges in academic mobility…
In the program, which began with an informative presentation by Mehmet Kaymaz Mehmet Kaymaz, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Assistant of the International Relations Directorate of Üsküdar University, the university's international mobility capacity and Erasmus activities were detailed.
Subsequently, Prof. Gökhan Apaydın, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, delivered a comprehensive presentation on behalf of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, introducing the faculty's research opportunities and the department's technical infrastructure.


IoT applications, LoRaWAN technologies discussed
Following the presentation, Prof. Rogerio Dionisio provided information about the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, introducing his institution's educational and research activities. Subsequently, Dionisio delivered a presentation titled “LoRa and Mesh Networks from an Embedded Systems Perspective”. Dionisio shared current data on IoT applications, LoRaWAN technologies, and embedded system architectures. During the visit, insightful discussions were held on the future applications of technology.

Joint determination for strategic collaboration!
Within the scope of the three-day visit, productive exchanges of views were held between Üsküdar University and IPCB, not only on student and academic staff exchange but also on developing joint research projects and establishing strategic partnerships in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, presented a certificate of participation to Prof. Rogerio Dionisio for his visit and contributions.
The visit was seen as a strong reflection of Üsküdar University's goal to solidify its place in the global education arena and provide its students with an international perspective.
